Allie Southam MS, PT, DPT
Hi, I’m Allie, (yes, you read right, there are two of us) I was introduced to neurologic physical therapy right here at [re+active] as a physical therapy student, and I’ve been hooked ever since. My favorite things about [re+active] are the positive culture and can-do attitude that we bring to each of our sessions and clients.
As an avid sports enthusiast, I’m a strong believer in teamwork. Together with my clients, we work towards moving in safe, pain-free, and functional ways to maximize independence. I aim to inspire confidence and joy in each client and ensure we smile and laugh along the way (PT should be fun!). I’m a little, (ok, big!) technology geek and I love to find creative ways of incorporating our state of the art equipment to make your personalized sessions even better!
Originally from Los Angeles, I ventured to Connecticut to study neuroscience and play college basketball at Wesleyan University. There, I discovered my passion for movement science and high quality rehabilitation. Since then, I’ve earned my master’s degree in biokinesiology from USC where I researched brain changes associated with exercise. Most recently, I received my doctorate in physical therapy at USC and discovered my passion for neuro PT! I’m also a certified Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!) therapist. When I’m not at [re+active], I enjoy staying on the move with sports and yoga, traveling with my friends and family, and searching for the best frozen yogurt around (any suggestions?).
I’m so excited to meet you! Send me a message or give us a call to schedule an appointment. Let’s be strong, active and move together. Looking forward to being a part of your team!
