Amanda Zendejas. (she/her)

Neuropsychology Doctoral Trainee

Amanda Zendejas is a doctoral student studying clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. While Amanda’s primary passions have generally surrounded human sexuality, sex therapy, and working with the LGBTQ+ community, she is also extremely interested in how those identities may intersect with those affected by Parkinson’s disease and other chronic health conditions.Empowering people to explore and take the necessary steps to become the most authentic version of themselves is one of Amanda’s greatest joys. She strives to help people live the life they truly want to live, whilst being compassionate and understanding of the unique challenges and situations each person may encounter. She is a firm believer that we are not defined by our diagnoses or life circumstances but that we are the sole creators of who we are, and who we want to be. She looks forward to the knowledge and experiences she’s yet to gain and is extremely excited about her future as a clinician!Amanda enjoys running outdoors, especially at sunrise or sunset - bonus points if she can take a quick dip in the ocean afterwards!
