Consultation for Clinicians

Professional Consultation

Helping others navigate life’s challenges is deeply meaningful—but as clinicians, we know that the work can also be complex, isolating, and emotionally demanding. At re+active psychology, we understand the unique pressures mental health professionals face, especially when working with clients managing chronic illness, comorbid conditions, or treatment resistance. Our consultation services are designed to support fellow clinicians in deepening clinical insight, building confidence with challenging cases, and enhancing therapeutic effectiveness—while also sustaining your own sense of purpose and balance.

With a strong foundation in working with individuals navigating rare, complex, or misunderstood diagnoses, we bring a nuanced, holistic lens to clinical consultation. Our team is experienced in collaborating within integrated care settings—partnering with occupational therapists, neurologically informed physical therapists, physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and allied health professionals—to support whole-person treatment planning. If you’re managing cases that fall outside the typical diagnostic mold, working across disciplines, or seeking a deeper understanding of biopsychosocial factors influencing health and movement, we offer a collaborative space to enhance your clinical reasoning and expand your toolkit.

🧠 Common diagnoses we treat at re+active include:

  • Functional neurological disorder

  • Persistent problems after concussion

  • Zebra conditions, like POTS, MCAS, EDS, and hyper mobility spectrum disorders

  • Parkinson's disease

  • Acquired brain injury

  • Dystonia

  • Neurodegenerative diseases

🧑‍⚕️ Benefits of working with us:

  • Enhance the unique skills and strengths you possess as a clinician

  • Clarify clinical reasoning

  • Create appropriate short- and long-term goals

  • Create safety plans (e.g. for clients with functional dissociative seizures)

  • Help you form a rewarding and organic therapeutic alliance with your clients

  • Assess for and diagnose co-morbid conditions, so you can formulate a comprehensive conceptualization and treatment plan

  • Understand the pathophysiology and clinical signs and symptoms of neurological conditions such as FND, dystonia, and PPCS

  • Explain these conditions to clients in a way that is affirming and based on science

  • Make referrals and difficult decisions related to patient care

  • Improve confidence with complex cases

  • Reduce burnout

  • Develop long-term strategies
