What is neurologic physical therapy?

Neurologic physical therapy focuses on evaluating and treating individuals who have movement problems because of disease or injury to the nervous system. 


What is a neurologic clinical specialist?

A Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) is a physical therapist who has specialized in the area of neurologic physical therapy. They have had advanced training in this specific area, meeting all the requirements, and have passed a specialty examination of the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialists.

What is the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree?



The Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) is a post-baccaulareate degree that is given after successful completion of a clinical doctorate program.  Doctors of physical therapy are recognized as the practitioners of choice to whom consumers have direct access for the diagnosis of, interventions for, and prevention of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities related to movement, function, and health.
